What to watch when you’re travelling

So you’ll be travelling this summer and you’ll have a few hours to kill? Forget Candy Crush and sudokus! Here are a few ideas on what to watch depending on the mode of transportation and the lenght of your trip!
If you’re taking the train (and even if you’re not) you need to watch this amazing movie: Snowpiercer. Unlike the train you’ll be boarding, the passengers on the Snowpiercer will never get off it, as it is the only habitable environment left on earth after global warming countermeasures triggered a new ice age. That’s the pitch and I’m not saying more and not including the trailer, it’ll spoil things. Just trust me on this one!
If you’re in a car (and not driving, ok?), then you need a good old road trip movie! These are my two favourite, both from the same director: Alexander Payne.
Nebraska is a gem. Full Stop. Watch it.

If you’re flying. Don’t worry, I’m not going to make you watch terrible movies like Snakes on the plane or Turbulence. Instead, if you’re on a long haul flight, then you have time for a whole season of one of 2015’s most acclaimed TV series! Yay!
If you want to catch up on the latest sci-fi craze, then dig into Netflix’s Sense8. The Wachowski’s (creators of “The Matrix”) are behind this tense series in which eight people can telepathically experience each other’s lives:
If you’re looking for a mind-bending thriller, Wayward Pines is for you: directed by M. Night Shyamalan (“The Sixth Sense”) and starring Matt Dillon as a secret service agent on a mission to find two missing federal agents in the bucolic town of Wayward Pines, ID.
And if you’re in the mood for comedies, I suggest The last man on earth: it’s the most unusual new comedy of the year, and it’s also one of the best. It’s thoughtful, funny and perfect for a summer trip!
