The Jon Snow chronicles

*** Spoilers ahead*** please don’t read if you haven’t watched the last episode of Game Of Thrones season 5 or been on the internet for the last 2 months!

So the last we’d seen of Jon Snow was him laying in his blood after being stabbed a good dozen times . That was enough for the entire galaxy to start screaming, crying and smashing their TV screens. But guys, guys, really?

Let’s explore the internet and dig out the zillions proofs that Jon Snow IS NOT dead:

Snap484

Melisandre is going to resurrect him. Remember that she conveniently appears right before Jon’s death and that she supposedly has the power to resurrect dead bodies/souls ? Also she’s looking for a new “chosen one”… check out the two theories below that would prove her right:

Jon Snow is Azor Ahai. According to the stories, Azor Ahai fought during a great period of darkness and saved mankind. It is believed by many that Azor Ahai will be reborn, with Melisandre telling Jon:

“When the red star bleeds and the darkness gathers, Azor Ahai shall be born again amidst smoke and salt to wake dragons out of stone.”

In that final scene,  the Night’s Watch traitors represent the darkness, Jon’s wounds are described as “smoking,” and the salt is represented in one of his betrayer’s tears. There you have it.

The R+L=J plot.   It’s becoming pretty clear now that Jon is not Ned Stark’s bastard son… so could he actually be the son of Rhaegar Targaryen and Lyanna Stark, and thus be entitled to the Iron Throne?,… Watch the entire story:

– The eye colour changing theory:  some fans claim that in the final scene, Jon Snow’s eyes change from his normal dark brown to a lighter hue. . (???)

Remember when Bran’s eyes were going white when warging into Hodor or Summer and when the dead widlings awoke with their eyes turning ice blue ? Could this mean that Jon is warging into his wolf Ghost or returning as a white walker…??? Don’t get too excited though: the slight colour change could simply be a camera trick.

-He’s simply not dead. OK, GOT is no Grey’s anatomy but still, there wasn’t THAT much blood. He was the Lord Commander (and it’s freezing up at the Wall) so he must have been wearing some protective gear, right? He could simply be back on his feet after a few stitches!

-Sam (Jon’s best mate) said once: “I’ve been worrying about Jon for years. He always come back“. This has to mean something, right?

And finally, for more actual facts:

-Kit Harington (the actor playing Jon Snow) was spotted with long hair last month at Wimbledon:

Why would he keep that ridiculous hairdo if he was not filming season 6? Especially when he looks like that with short hair:

-And yesterday the Daily Mirror released pictures of Kit and his co-star Ben Crompton (who plays Eddison Tollett) on the streets of Belfast, where the cast are currently shooting….

He may know nothing, but Jon Snow is still breathing. Do not get your fur coat out. There will be no funeral held for him…. Yet.

HOWEVER, you can still mourn the many other deaths by leaving a flower on their (virtual ) grave.
